This is the blog for the McGeorge family to keep a record of the build of their country house. The property is called “Tredegar” which is named after the town in which Steve’s grandmother was born in Wales.
We hope you enjoy reading about our adventures.
Well done love the whole thing what a clever family
Now Donna darling – we have been here 11 years now and yep the wildlife gets ho hum….we even have echidnas’ (if this is the correct spelling – here is one at our RMB mail box) – they are so cute – you will get them when all settles down…..we have koalas in the trees – cute coz they sleep and sway with the branches in the trees, the dogs bark at the roos, one is doing that right now coz of the green grass and the forest is burnt behind us, they all eat around the house now.
You won’t enjoy seeing the snakes so make sure that when you have built that the dog water remains in the house – coz the snakes come looking for the water.
Did you know we were at the start of the Muskvale bushfires. We saw the fire, long story – we lost our south paddocks within 30 metres of house….evacuated twice – we have been living in hell…now getting the fences replaced after the trees that burnt down are removed……
On the positive – I could and will never live in a city again, neither will you guys – so you aren’t far away – next time you are up if you have time come back to Melbourne via our joint for a latte/beer/champers….
Cant wait to see the progress – really really excited for you Donna….well done girlfriend.
Lily
Dear McGeorges’
It is all going along sailingly. Can’t wait to be there for Christmas. My little darling looks very happy, glad to hear her driving hours are so high.
Love Mum
Hi,
We run the website http://www.Tredegar.co.uk, and we are seriously impressed with your website and your home building skills.
Would you mind sending us an email, so we could perhaps discuss making mention of your site, cross links and maybe even a shared youtube or two? ;o)
Thanks for your time, and keep going.
Regards,
Brad & Pierre.
